Your future workplace The Surgery and Orthopedic Clinic is a well-functioning operation with approximately 15 employees from various professional categories who work together to provide patients with safe, secure, and person-centered care. As a nurse, you will work closely with an experienced nurse colleague and together with four highly competent nursing assistants. One of the assistants serves as a section leader and two are specialist nurses with focus areas in surgery and orthopedics respectively. The clinic is open on weekdays (Monday through Friday), excluding public holidays. The position involves daytime work, which gives you free weekends and holidays and good opportunities for work-life balance. Responsibilities As a nurse at our surgery, orthopedic, and urology clinic, you will have a central role in daily clinic operations. You work closely with physicians and other professionals to ensure high-quality and safe patient care, while independently managing your own patient contacts. Your responsibilities include clinic work, telephone advice, patient assessment and follow-up, and wound care clinic work. You also assist with outpatient procedures and participate in preparation and follow-up care. The work involves great variety where you need to be able to switch between scheduled patient visits, consultations, and more urgent issues. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team and contributing to good collaboration, but who also feels confident making independent decisions and self-directing your work. The role requires flexibility, strong prioritization skills, and professional demeanor when working with patients and colleagues. Qualifications We are looking for a licensed nurse with several years of experience in surgery, orthopedics, and urology. Experience with clinic work, telephone advice, and wound care is advantageous. To thrive and succeed in this role, you need to be confident in your profession and able to work both independently and in close collaboration with others. You have the ability to make sound decisions independently, while also valuing contributing to good teamwork where the patient's needs are always central.
