Job description In your role as a nurse on care unit 61, you plan, lead and perform specific surgical nursing work. You work in close cooperation with nursing assistants and other professionals. Here you meet patients with both acute and chronic conditions. You get to use your full range as a nurse – from advanced medical interventions to close patient contact. You work continuously with observations, are responsible for pre- and post-operative care, pain relief, palliative care and ensure that the patient is optimized before surgery. The tasks also include making independent assessments and leading the nursing team. Qualifications Licensed nurse. Experience with surgical care is meriting. About the operation The Surgery and Urology business area conducts both acute and elective surgery and urology as well as surgical operations in outpatient and inpatient care around the clock. We treat and care for patients mainly from Stockholm County, but also patients from other regions and countries with surgical or urological diseases. Patients are cared for at several different specialist clinics, two surgical departments and four care units with different specialization areas; colorectal surgery, upper gastrointestinal surgery, obesity surgery and liver tumors, and urology. About 460 employees work here.
