Nurse for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Popis:
Your Workplace At the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, resident dentists and assistant dentists, dental nurses and operating room dental nurses, as well as dental radiologists with associated resident positions and imaging technicians work together. We also have a bite physiologist with a resident position, healthcare administrators, nursing assistants, and a clinic administrator. Our mission is to provide the residents of Värmland with specialized dental care in oral and maxillofacial surgery, dental radiology, and bite physiology. At our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery clinic at Central Hospital, we perform various treatments in the jaw area, including scheduled procedures and emergency care following accidents. We conduct treatments in consultation rooms, operating rooms, and operating departments under anesthesia. On ward 16 (Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic), we also have inpatient postoperative patients or those undergoing treatment for various infectious conditions related to oral health. We have our own sterilization function as well as reception and a team of healthcare administrators. We also share our premises with the Specialist Clinic for Orofacial Medicine, with whom we work closely. You will find colleagues here with a good sense of humor, a forward-thinking spirit, and who help each other regardless of professional category. Together, we want to provide our patients with the best possible care and treatment. Your Responsibilities Your responsibilities include administering sedation prior to scheduled procedures, monitoring before and after procedures, taking samples, and preparing patients for inpatient admission. The role also includes medication administration and monitoring of vital parameters as well as the general condition of emergency patients. In addition, the role includes coordinating responsibility in the daily patient flow between our clinics. Routine tasks such as handling delivered goods, managing incoming calls, placing orders, and cleaning are also included in your responsibilities. In the long term, there are opportunities to develop further in several of the responsibility areas and tasks we have at the clinic. The position may also involve conducting training for clinic staff as well as actively participating in our development work. We offer individualized orientation based on your previous experience and personal qualities. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for you, a licensed nurse, who wants to help create something new with us! It is a requirement to have several years of professional experience as a licensed nurse. You need to have a flexible approach with an accommodating manner, and be willing to help wherever needed with the tasks required at any given time. For us, it is important that you are proactive and independent in your work style, but we also value teamwork. You need to be comfortable conducting training for both large and small groups when requested. You may have previous experience managing responsibility areas and/or development work, but this is not a requirement. It is an advantage if you have work experience from emergency care and/or surgical specialties, particularly from Ear, Nose and Throat healthcare. Previous work experience and education in dental care is also an advantage.
