About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Göteborg Detention Center is one of Sweden's five high-security detention centers, located in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service building in central Göteborg. Göteborg Detention Center has capacity for approximately 400 inmates. At Göteborg Detention Center, we employ, among others, correctional officers, psychologists, nurses, administrators and intelligence operators. In total, we are approximately 300 employees working daily with the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's important mission and breaking the cycle of crime. In addition to nurses, the clinics also have general practitioners and psychiatrists. As a nurse, you have your own clinic for assessing minor complaints, but you also assess which patients should see a doctor. This means you work with both somatic and psychiatric health and medical care for inmates, assist at doctor's appointments and administer medications, primarily through dose dispensing. Documentation is done in PMO patient records system. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is confident, stable and has self-awareness. You have an easy time collaborating with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you are calm, stable and controlled. You have great integrity and the ability to make correct assessments and prioritizations. You are quality-conscious and thorough, and have the ability to structure your approach and drive your processes forward independently.
