The Gynecology, Surgery, and Otolaryngology Department in Kristianstad is part of the surgical operations area and treats patients in gynecology, surgery, and otolaryngology, rhinology, and laryngology (ENT). We care for patients following elective surgeries and in acute care situations, offering inpatient care with 12 bed spaces. The department has approximately 35 employees and treats over 1,400 inpatients annually. Our department's ambition is to be the best possible workplace. DUTIES As a nurse in this role, your responsibilities include counseling, medication management, care planning, and contact with family members. In our department, you work with hospitalized patients as well as those coming to our abortion clinic. Our operations run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. At the beginning of your employment, you will receive basic training alongside experienced staff in the various medical specialties. For newly qualified nurses, Region Scania also offers an introduction program lasting one year, as well as extended mentoring and clinical skills training. We also have an education nurse in the department who is available to support both our new and experienced nurses. The education nurse organizes training, provides clinical supervision and reflection, and is responsible for the professional development of our nurses. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you, a licensed nurse authorized to work in Swedish healthcare. You have Swedish language skills at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. It is advantageous if you have previous work experience in gynecology, breast, ENT operations, or in an acute care department. We also consider it desirable that you have knowledge of Melior and Obstetrix. We are looking for someone with good foresight and organizational skills who can prioritize your work when an acute situation arises.
