We are seeking a nurse for the endoscopy unit as our operations are expanding and we are moving to newly built state-of-the-art facilities in fall 2026. The Gastroenterology Clinic provides highly specialized healthcare focused on the gastrointestinal tract. Job Description

Modern, well-equipped work environments and procedure rooms. Opportunities for continuous professional development. Colleagues working together to make a real difference. At the endoscopy unit we only work daytime: Monday–Thursday 07:30–16:30, Friday 07:30–14:00.
We primarily perform outpatient endoscopic examinations but also care for acute cases from hospitalized patients.
Your tasks include:
You are responsible for one patient at a time. Preparations for examinations. Peripheral venous catheter insertion. Medical record documentation and patient observation during the procedure. Medication handling. Support to assistant and endoscopist. You will also receive training as an assistant, where you work closely with the endoscopist and assist during the procedure. Examination time varies between 30 minutes and a few hours.
You will also handle recovery after endoscopic procedures and cleaning of endoscopes approximately half a day per week. You receive individualized introduction and always have colleagues nearby – we work as a team and support each other. Once you're up to speed, there is an opportunity to take training in patient-controlled sedation and administer Propofol independently. There is also an opportunity to study further to become an endoscopist during work time (two years part-time).
Work Group
We are currently an engaged and enjoyable group of about 20 employees – both nursing assistants and nurses. Many have long experience and are happy to help. We have a positive atmosphere where teamwork, commitment, and a good work environment are central.
About You
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. Your interest in endoscopy is more important than having concrete experience in the field. Since you work in a team and in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
