Welcome to apply for a truly rewarding and developmental nursing position at our endoscopy and gastroenterology clinic in Bollnäs! We serve both medical patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases and patients being evaluated for surgical gastrointestinal conditions. We also perform colon cancer screening and insert/change PEG tubes as needed. Our unit is small and efficient, with three nurses, one nursing assistant, and one medical secretary. We have four permanent gastroenterologists and also visiting surgical endoscopists. Most of our work is planned procedures, and we operate during daytime hours, Monday through Friday. If desired and needed, a possible 20 percent rotation to an inpatient ward may be available. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a nurse with us, you will have a central and meaningful role in our daily operations. You will meet patients at different stages of their care and help create a sense of security throughout their care journey. The work is varied, and you will primarily work with planned outpatient clinic activities where you can use your clinical expertise and develop new skills. Main job duties include • preparation and patient care before, during, and after procedures • assisting with endoscopic procedures and treatments including medication management • working with the colon cancer screening program • appointment scheduling and management of healthcare systems such as 1177 and Min Vård Gävleborg • phone guidance and patient information as well as follow-up on medication treatments.
