About Us Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is an interdisciplinary specialist operation that encompasses a family therapeutic, cognitive, psychodynamic and neuropsychological understanding perspective. Our task is to identify, investigate and treat mental health problems in children, adolescents under 18 years old and their families. Our 24-hour care ward has 3 care beds and also includes an emergency reception. We are now looking for a colleague on a permanent basis who can complement our wonderful work team. We exist for children and adolescents with serious psychiatric problems who need inpatient care. Care time varies depending on the assignment and the fact that we function as both an acute ward and a treatment ward in newly renovated premises. About the Job As a nurse with us, you join a work team of 19 colleagues consisting of care assistants, coordinators, nurses, ward doctors and a ward manager. The work team includes both new and experienced staff. We have close collaboration with Child and Adolescent Psychiatry's outpatient care and the expertise available there. Our ward is located in the same building as parts of Adult Psychiatry's 24-hour care and we support and help each other in the building when needed. As a nurse, you work certain days as a work leader together with coordinators. You participate in rounds for our inpatients, in acute assessments, plan and evaluate patients' care needs and medical treatment. We take calls around the clock from patients and relatives who need advice and support. In daily work, we place great emphasis on ensuring that the entire family's need for support is highlighted, so it is important that you can adapt your approach and attitude based on the situation and person. We are looking for a colleague who is confident in themselves and their competence and finds it challenging to work to some extent with the unpredictable. Within the work team, we try to take advantage of the moments available to acquire new knowledge as well as for recovery and having fun at work. You will receive our internal introductory training, mentorship, supervision and regular development time. You will work two weekends out of five on a rotating schedule of day, evening and night shifts. About You If you are our new colleague, you are a licensed nurse. If you are a psychiatric nurse and/or have experience working with children and young people with eating disorders, suicidality, or psychoses in inpatient care, we consider that a merit. We want you to be flexible, have good teamwork skills and be able to remain calm in stressful situations. You have a strong patient focus and see the possibility of working together with patients and their families to find success in treatment work. For us, it is important that you have a genuine interest in working with children and adolescents with psychiatric problems and that you want to be part of developing our operation!
