About the position Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (BIMA) is a highly specialized care unit within the Pediatric Perioperative Medicine and Intensive Care function and part of the Pediatric Intensive Care Sector. We care for critically ill children of all ages following intensive care treatment, surgery, hospital ward admission, or emergency department visits. Our patients have threatening or manifest, potentially reversible, failure of vital functions but do not require intensive care resources. We have well-established collaboration with long-term intensive care (LIVA) where there is extensive experience with children with airway problems who often require tracheostomy.
