At the Gastroenterology Department's ward B194, we care for patients with liver and gastrointestinal diseases requiring both medical and surgical care. Together with the Department of Surgery, we have a national mandate for highly specialized care (NHV) in reconstructive surgery for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). You will receive support from an experienced mentor and be gradually introduced to the work in our care team. During the orientation, practical work alternates with reading days and training sessions. We adapt the content based on your previous experience and individual needs, while giving you the opportunity to build solid knowledge about the patient groups you will encounter here. You will also have the opportunity to participate in training and observerships within the department's various operations. This gives you the chance to deepen your knowledge within our department-specific disease areas while gaining a broader understanding of the entire department's activities. Job Description As a nurse at B194, you will have varied, developing, and meaningful work. Our patients often have complex care needs, which gives you the opportunity to develop in your professional role and build broad clinical competence in gastroenterology, IBD, and surgical nursing care. You will meet, among others, patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), both in connection with medical treatment and in the surgical pre- and postoperative phases. This means you will have the opportunity to follow the patient through different stages of the disease course and build a close and secure care relationship. We also care for patients with various liver diseases and other gastrointestinal-related conditions, where care needs can be both complex and varied. Therefore, you will gain broad clinical experience and the opportunity to develop your competence in, for example, medical and surgical nursing care, nutrition, and pain management. About You We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and want to be part of our team.
