Beroendecentrum Stockholm is Sweden's largest addiction clinic. We provide support and assistance to people who have problems with alcohol, drugs, medications, or gambling. We are now seeking registered nurses for Department 54, which is located at St Görans sjukhus and is part of Beroendecentrum Stockholm's acute and inpatient care section. The department is a specialized inpatient ward consisting of 22 beds where we care for patients according to HSL, LPT, and LVM care provisions, with psychiatric and somatic conditions related to problematic consumption or dependence on alcohol. Workplace We work in care teams consisting of registered nurses, nursing assistants, and physicians. The department is also a clinical education unit, which means you may encounter students from various professions. The Work As a registered nurse, you have highly varied and stimulating work where great emphasis is placed on individual responsibility as well as collegial collaboration. Based on the nursing process, you work together with physicians, nursing assistants, and care coordinators to provide patient care. You are part of the patient's social planning and contribute to a good care continuum with other stakeholders. Your daily work includes both psychiatric and somatic nursing care, ranging from supportive conversations to withdrawal assessment and treatment. You also apply your medical-technical competence in areas such as sedation for withdrawal management, wound dressing changes, catheterization, and intravenous treatment.
