About the position Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital brings together the expertise that sick children and young people may need. Here we work together with respect, care, and a shared focus on providing the best possible care to our patients and their families. At the emergency department in Solna, we have worked intensively over recent years to develop the operations to be able to receive our patients in the best way. We continue to develop our working methods and are now looking for more colleagues who want to be part of that journey. At the emergency department, we receive and treat children and young people aged 0–18 years with acute medical, orthopedic, and surgical illnesses and injuries. The facility is open 24 hours a day and patient flow varies in both scope and intensity. As a nurse with us, you work in a team together with other nurses, nursing assistants, and physicians. The work involves standard nursing tasks at a children's emergency department and offers great variation in terms of content, complexity, and pace. Our patients come both walking and by ambulance, and we often receive children who require immediate acute care. The work involves many encounters with patients and their families and requires strong ability to assess, prioritize, and act when patients' conditions change rapidly. We are now recruiting nurses for permanent positions, locum tenens, and hourly work. We are looking for you who - Feel confident in your professional role and have the ability to make well-founded decisions even in complex situations - Collaborate well with others and contribute to a good working climate in the team - Work in a structured manner and can prioritize when the pace is high and conditions change rapidly - Have a professional and empathetic approach toward patients, relatives, and colleagues - Want to contribute to the facility's continued development and quality Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. Qualifications Requirements: - Licensed nurse - At least one year of experience in pediatric care and/or emergency care at an emergency department Meritorious: - Specialist training in healthcare for children and young people or emergency care About the recruitment process Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
