Palliative care and Advanced Home Care (ASIH) in Trelleborg is organizationally part of the Healthcare and Health Administration, operational area mobile teams and specialized palliative care in southwestern Skåne. We offer specialized palliative care with the aim of relieving symptoms and preventing suffering in connection with terminal or chronic illness regardless of the person's age or diagnosis. Care can be provided as inpatient care at the Palliative Care Unit, within advanced home care (ASIH), or via palliative specialist clinics. Care is specialized based on each individual patient's needs. The operation in Trelleborg is a unit consisting of a team with nurses, nursing assistants, social worker, physiotherapist, dietitian, physician, and medical secretary. We constantly work on developing and strengthening teamwork to create an attractive workplace. Each employee contributes with their specific expertise where our joint efforts make a big difference for patients and their families. ASIH, the Palliative Care Unit, and the specialist clinic work closely together. ASIH has 17 beds within our catchment area of Trelleborg, Svedala, and Vellinge municipalities and the unit has 6 inpatient beds in Trelleborg. We offer patients and their families care around the clock, which means the position to some extent involves work at irregular hours. 1 position(s). You actively participate in planning around the patient's care together with other professionals and in cooperation with other healthcare providers. Working within specialized palliative care in Trelleborg means working patient-centered and helping create security in difficult life situations for all our patients and their families. You meet patients in their homes, listen carefully, and work based on the conditions that exist and with their goals in focus. The work includes conducting assessments and providing care from a holistic perspective. Patients enrolled in ASIH have a need for specialized palliative care, which means they often have a complex symptom picture or their life situation entails special needs. We handle everything from medical tasks such as giving injections, connecting infusions and medication pumps, inserting catheters, and performing drainage procedures to having supportive conversations with patients or family members and being support in contact with authorities. We also have a mission to provide supportive cancer care at home, which is given in the form of point interventions. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are an authorized nurse with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement. Since the position includes caring for patients in their homes, a valid B driving license is also a requirement. We would appreciate it if you have several years of professional experience as a nurse, and if you have specialist training in oncology/palliative care and/or pediatrics, that is an advantage. The salary range at the unit is 33,000-53,000 kronor per month, depending on experience, expertise, and any specialist training.
