About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more staff members. We are the authority responsible for correctional facilities, probation services, remand prisons, and inmate transportation. Job Description The Swedish Prison and Probation Service operates certain open health and medical care services, which means that all correctional facilities and remand prisons have medical clinics where inmates can seek care. In addition to registered nurses, the clinics also have general practitioners and psychiatrists. As a registered nurse, you have your own clinic for assessing minor health issues, and you also evaluate which patients should see a doctor. This means you work with both somatic and psychiatric health and medical care for inmates, assist at doctor's appointments, and administer medication primarily through dose dispensing. Documentation is done in PMO patient medical records. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and has self-awareness. You have great integrity and the ability to make correct assessments and prioritizations. You are quality-conscious and thorough, and have the ability to structure your own approach and drive your processes forward.
