Psychosis Care Stockholm is a newly established operation within the Stockholm County Healthcare District. Here we consolidate care for patients over 18 years old with psychotic illness in one organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation, and treatment according to national guidelines and care programs. Within Psychosis Care Stockholm, we conduct developmental work, education, and research regarding psychotic illness. We work in multiprofessional teams to ensure the best possible care and treatment around the patient. Department 21 is a department within Psychosis Care Stockholm and is centrally located on Kungsholmen, at the S:t Görans Hospital area. About the Workplace We are a specialized department that cares for patients between 18 and 35 years old experiencing their first episode of psychotic illness. The focus is on comprehensive assessment, treatment, and planning together with patients and relatives. We place great emphasis on patient and relative participation, for example through patient forums, relative education, crisis intervention, and close collaboration with neighboring care services and especially outpatient care. The department has 12 + 1 care beds and we offer a calm and well-designed environment in accordance with the care program. Half of the department's staff are registered nurses, and the department is well-staffed. This enables quality in nursing care, planning, and collegial support. Many of your future colleagues have worked long-term at the department. We offer good orientation and support from experienced colleagues. Work Tasks You will be part of a team of nursing assistants, physicians, occupational therapists, and social workers. As a registered nurse with us, you will be responsible for leading the nursing care in your care team/primary group. You collaborate with outpatient care, other neighboring care services, and relatives for the patient's continued care after discharge. Qualifications You are a registered nurse with a genuine interest in helping people with psychiatric problems. Previous experience in psychiatric care or specialist education in psychiatry is advantageous, but not required. Terms Full-time, permanent employment which may be initiated with a 6-month trial period. Start date by agreement.
