Our Offering The Psychiatric Clinic in Linköping is a university clinic with many different operations. The clinic consists of outpatient and inpatient care, a detoxification unit, and an acute unit. In addition, we have mobile services; mobile outpatient teams and prehospital acute psychiatric mobility (psychiatric ambulance). Our nurses want to develop, and the clinic has therefore invested in strengthened nursing competence. In recent years, we have let our nurses take responsibility and lead the development of nursing care, and we work to make the latest research understandable and applicable in our clinical daily work. We have been working for some time with a recovery-oriented approach, and we see how care has moved from a more traditional approach to being driven by increasingly flexible and person-centered care where the patient's experience and needs are always our starting point. Job Description We are now looking for a nurse for our inpatient department S-90 specializing in psychotic illness, for example schizophrenia and delusional disorder. Here we care for people in different phases of their illness – from newly diagnosed to long-term conditions, often with comorbidities with other conditions or diseases. As a nurse in psychosis care, you have a central role in both stabilizing and supporting the patient in their recovery process. You have a leadership role in nursing work, where the relationship with the patient is the foundation for meeting individual needs based on their unique life situation. You work close to the patient and build safe relationships through conversation and presence – relationships that promote trust, participation, and recovery. The work is done in a team, and you are responsible for daily nursing care, which includes medication management, participation in rounds, reporting, and collaboration with other care providers. We work creatively and with a resource-focused approach, with the patient's skills at the center. We use techniques, methods, approaches, interventions, and actions that are based in different areas of competence. About You We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with a genuine interest in meeting people in vulnerable life situations. Experience in psychiatric care or a specialist nurse degree is an asset, but not decisive – we also welcome you who are new to the field. With curiosity, commitment, and a desire to do the best for the patient, you will develop together with us. As a new nurse, you are offered personalized introduction and mentorship from an experienced nurse for as long as needed.
