About the Operations At the Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology Clinic, we meet children and adolescents ages 0–18 with illnesses of varying complexity. The clinic is divided into four teams: IBD, nutrition, transplantation, and intestinal failure. Many of our patients are followed over long periods, and we work closely with both the children and their families through evaluation, treatment, and follow-up. Some of our care is provided within the framework of national highly specialized care, which means working with children who have complex and unusual care needs. At our clinic, nurses, pediatric nurses, doctors, dietitians, and other professionals work together around the patient. Job Duties As a nurse at the Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology Clinic, you work both independently and together with other professionals. Your duties include, among other things: • Reception and follow-up of children and adolescents of various ages • Counseling, information, and support to children and guardians • Planning and administration of infusion treatments • Planning, scheduling, and follow-up of patient visits • Collaboration with doctors, dietitians, and other professions regarding patient care • Documentation and other work related to patient visits. The work involves both brief contacts and longer care relationships. You will be involved in planning and coordinating care and will have the opportunity to develop your expertise in both clinic work and advanced pediatric nursing. We continuously work to develop the content and methods of care and welcome initiatives and ideas that can contribute to better care for our patients. About You We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse. It is a merit if you are a specialist-trained pediatric nurse or have experience in pediatric care, but the most important thing is that you have an interest in working with children, adolescents, and their families and want to develop in this field. You are good at creating a sense of security and trust and can adapt your communication to the child's age, needs, and circumstances. You can work independently, plan and structure your work, and take your own initiatives. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating and contributing to a good work environment. The program includes lectures, nursing supervision, practical training at Simulator Center, and work at least two different departments to broaden your expertise. In the event of recruitment of nurses/doctors with foreign credentials/specialist certification, the position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish credentials/specialist certification.
