The Movement and Musculoskeletal Centre in Umeå is responsible for Orthopedics in the northern healthcare region, covering the four northernmost counties. The Movement and Musculoskeletal Centre is divided into the sections Arthroplasty and Tumor, Factum, Trauma, and Spine, all performing thousands of patient visits, treatments, and surgical procedures annually. The Movement and Musculoskeletal Centre, Umeå is a University Healthcare Unit (USVE) where research and student supervision are a natural part of daily clinical work. Within the Movement and Musculoskeletal Centre Umeå, there are outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, a day surgery unit, an administrative unit, and an orthopedic technical center. Our care is characterized by a holistic approach where many different professional categories are engaged in the patient's care process and collaborate for the best results, with the vision of keeping Norrland on its feet and moving. The Orthopedic inpatient ward has close collaboration with Umeå University through our newly opened clinical education ward. We are passionate about educating students and staff, and through this new ward we achieve a unique blend of highly specialized care and clinical education. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a nurse with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. On the ward, you will have the opportunity to gain broad knowledge within orthopedics, from planned admissions to acute care with trauma care and advanced spinal surgery. With us, nurses have an important and natural role in the care team where you, as a nurse, motivate and lead other care staff. As a nurse, you work close to the patient, and your work includes identifying risks, assessing, intervening, and evaluating the patient's various care needs. We work in fast care chains where mobilization and return to previous life are sought quickly after surgery. As a nurse with us, you perform routine nursing tasks for an acute care ward such as medication handling, patient and family conversations, and planning. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a committed colleague who contributes knowledge and joy, who feels responsibility for the patient's well-being and the continued development of the organization. You are a licensed nurse with an interest in orthopedics and acute care. You can handle multiple tasks in parallel and see it as a challenge to work at a varying pace.
