Neonatal ICU is part of the Regional Clinic for Children and Youth, a regional clinic responsible for all specialist care for children and adolescents. The operations are broad and span several medical fields, including neonatology. At Neonatal ICU at Norrland University Hospital, we care for critically ill and premature infants from throughout northern Sweden. Here, highly specialized intensive care is combined with research, education, and continuous development of future neonatal care. The operations are internationally recognized and at the forefront in caring for extremely premature infants. We are a small hospital within a hospital. Here there are multiple levels and forms of care – from advanced intensive care to intermediate care, family rooms, and neonatal home care. We also have our own transport team responsible for all neonatal transports in the northern healthcare region. As a nurse, you will follow children and families through different parts of the care pathway. This provides varied work and the opportunity to develop broad and unique expertise in neonatal care. WORK RESPONSIBILITIES As a nurse in Neonatal ICU, you are responsible for the care of newborn infants with varying care needs from advanced intensive care to care in family rooms and neonatal home care. The work includes both advanced nursing care and operation of medical technical equipment. You work in a multiprofessional team where collaboration is a prerequisite for good care. Therefore, an important part of the mission is to involve, support, and strengthen parents in their parental role and create conditions for participation throughout the care period. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience in pediatric care, intensive care, or neonatal care is an advantage.
