As a night nurse in the infectious diseases clinic, you will care for patients with complex infectious diseases in a calm and well-structured night operation. The Nurse Role
As a nurse, you take a holistic view of the patient's complex needs. You are responsible for patient care, observation, medication, and collaboration regarding patients with various infectious diagnoses and varying care needs. We want patients to be actively involved in their care, which means that patient education is a very important part of your work. You care for patients in the best way based on individual needs and proven experience in medical nursing. We work in teams with different professions, and together with other staff members, you work toward good collaboration within the clinic. As a nurse, you lead and distribute the work within the team. Our patients are sometimes very seriously ill with, for example, sepsis and require extensive acute interventions from you and your colleagues.
Your Workplace
The Infectious Diseases Clinic is based in Jönköping and is the region's center of expertise for infectious diseases. The clinic consists of a care unit with 27 beds, a specialist outpatient clinic, and extensive consultation and advisory services provided in Eksjö, Jönköping, and Värnamo. The clinic is characterized by motivated staff who work in teams and jointly strive for good collaboration. There is strong cohesion, and we highly value teamwork and interest in professional development. The clinic is known for its unpretentious approach and close, warm collaboration between the different professions within the clinic. Many of our patients feel that our staff's greatest strengths are good treatment, good availability for questions and concerns, and making patients feel secure.
Your Profile
We are looking for you—a licensed nurse who wants to join our infectious diseases clinic. You need at least one year of professional experience to work night shifts. If you have experience working in the Cosmic medical records system, we consider that a plus.
