The operating room department at Angered Proximity Hospital is an organizational unit employing approximately 35 employees responsible for the entire surgical process. Operating room coordinators, anesthesiologists, nurses, nursing assistants, and unit managers work together here, with the patient in focus. At the operating room at Angered Proximity Hospital, there are four operating theaters and a pre- and post-operative unit well-adapted for the mission. We treat patients in the areas of surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and urology both independently and in collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Angered Operating Room also has a major responsibility for the insertion and removal of venous ports. We perform operations on both children and adults. Description We are looking for you who are a nurse, preferably with specialist training in intensive care or another specialist training within the acute care field. Job Responsibilities You will be responsible for pre- and post-operative care where you work both independently and as part of a team to meet patient needs. You will follow the patient from admission to discharge, which makes the work both enjoyable and inspiring, as well as giving you confirmation that you have done a good job. Qualifications A nursing degree with Swedish professional license is required. Specialist training in intensive care and work experience in day surgery or pre-/post-operative care, as well as experience caring for children in connection with surgery/anesthesia, are desirable. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is required. Additional language skills we see as an advantage. Personal Qualities You have a care-focused approach, are thorough, and place patient safety high. You are unpretentious, find it easy to build relationships, and enjoy working in a team. Conditions The schedule is fixed and set for weekdays during daytime with work shifts where you start later and work until 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM approximately once per week.
