As a registered nurse, you will work in the intensive care unit together with intensive care nurses and the rest of the team, which includes nursing assistants and physicians. You are planning to pursue further education within approximately one year. During your time with us, you will gain insight into what intensive care entails and gain experience that you can bring with you into your further education.
We offer an educational, varied, and exciting work environment with many challenges. We who work here are a cheerful group with broad expertise. The unit has 4 intensive care beds and staff also partially staff the postoperative unit. The unit provides service to all clinics in the region.
Job Duties
As a nurse, you will be part of a team together with intensive care nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, and physiotherapists. You will work with patient care responsibility, monitoring, medical equipment, medications, and nursing care.
Qualifications
Registered nurse. Preferably with at least one year of experience.

About the Organization
The business area of anesthesia and intensive care operates at the region's three hospitals: University Hospital Örebro, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesberg Hospital. It is a large business area with approximately 400 employees. Our areas of work include anesthesia, intensive care, operating room services (postop and day surgery), and a neurointermediate unit. At Karlskoga Hospital, there is an anesthesia department, intensive care unit, and a postoperative unit.
Karlskoga Hospital is one of Region Örebro County's three acute care hospitals. We who work at Karlskoga Hospital are proud of our hospital.
