Are you a registered nurse interested in working with cardiac care? We are a clinic with a strong sense of community, where good communication and patient care are fundamental. Excellent collaboration between all professions is essential to build trust and confidence in the patients we care for. Unit 63 has 24 care beds divided among 3 care teams. The unit treats patients with various heart conditions, including acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, angina, and cardiac arrhythmias. All beds on the cardiac unit have access to continuous cardiac monitoring. We offer, following a 7-week individual orientation period, stimulating and specialized work within cardiac care. Regular internal training is included along with the opportunity to take subsidized university courses. Duties The position involves basic and specialized nursing care in an acute care unit with 24-hour emergency admissions. Work is conducted in teams consisting of physicians, nurses, and nursing assistants. The nurse is responsible for, among other tasks, assessment of prehospital EKGs from ambulances, readiness to manage acute myocardial infarctions in preparation for balloon angioplasty/coronary intervention, advanced treatment of acute and chronic heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmias.
