ELSA stands for Unit for Licensed Nurses in General Service. As an ELSA nurse, you have a permanent position, but you work on different departments to broaden your expertise. You typically work for six or twelve months on each department before rotating. Placement changes occur on March 1st and September 1st. As an ELSA nurse, you are part of the department's regular staffing while you're there—you don't add to the existing personnel.
What We Offer You
As an ELSA nurse, your work is varied and suits you if you're curious and enjoy trying new things! The role is perfect for newly graduated nurses who haven't yet decided which area you want to work in, as well as experienced nurses who want to expand your expertise or try something new for a period. The position is a full-time permanent employment. Start date is by agreement, but we'd love for you to begin with us as soon as possible. You don't need your nursing license to apply, but you must obtain it before starting your employment with us.
As an ELSA nurse, you get the opportunity to gather experience from different departments and bring good practices to new placements. You gain insight into many different operations and grow and develop in your role as a nurse. Additionally, you have the opportunity to build a valuable network across the entire hospital.
