About the Operation The Palliative Care Unit is part of the Palliative Clinic and we provide specialized palliative care at Falun Hospital. We have 8 care beds and accept patients from throughout Dalarna. Teamwork is central and all professions contribute to quality care. For us, it is important to care for patients, next of kin, and each other with professionalism, compassion, and respect. With a holistic view of the individual, our goal is to create security and good quality of life for the patient and their next of kin through high availability, participation, and continuity. Responsibilities We are now seeking a registered nurse for our Palliative Care Unit. Care is directed towards patients with severe symptoms who are at the end of life. Our ambition is to make the illness period as good as possible for the patient and their next of kin. We care for patients with varying diagnoses with advanced symptoms. Standard nursing tasks—involving a combination of medical technology and good nursing care. Some of our patients have, for example, central lines, drainage, and receive medication treatment via pump. We are looking for someone who is curious and open to challenges. Meeting seriously ill patients and their next of kin requires personal maturity and confidence in your professional role. Qualifications Requirements: You are a licensed registered nurse with an interest in palliative care. It is important that you are empathetic and have a good approach to patients, next of kin, and colleagues. We place great value on your personal qualities and your understanding of different social and cultural contexts. Interviews will take place on an ongoing basis.
