Registered Nurse, Day/Evening Shift
Popis:
Welcome to the Orthopedic Department! The Orthopedic Department at Visby Hospital consists of 15 care beds, distributed across two care teams. With us, you'll find both acute orthopedics and planned operations. We work in teams with registered nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and physicians. During daytime hours Monday through Friday, we also have an experienced registered nurse as a coordinator. The coordinator assists with coordination, provides knowledge support, and is available to everyone on the department in daily work. So if you want to work with a well-functioning team and engaged colleagues, you've come to the right place. We work with continuous improvements and want to constantly get better. For us, it's important that both staff and patients feel good. The Orthopedic Clinic, of which the orthopedic department is a part, works according to the motto "Gotland's orthopedic operations shall offer patients orthopedic care of good quality based on the needs of the population. We do this through good collegial relationships and cooperation across boundaries." Want to know more about our operations? Visit our Instagram account @ortopedenvisby. Your Responsibilities The role includes standard registered nurse tasks in an orthopedic department. You work in care teams together with nursing assistants. We also work in teams together with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and physicians. When needed, also with other professionals such as dietitians, social workers, pharmacists, and others. We place great importance on areas of responsibility and see them as a natural part of improving operations in small and large matters. After six months at the workplace, you will therefore be assigned an area of responsibility. Additionally, mentoring of nursing students who regularly come to the workplace is included, which requires at least one year of experience as a registered nurse. You will work varying day and evening shifts, as well as every other weekend. Who Are You? You are a licensed registered nurse; we consider previous experience in acute care as meritorious. You are a new or experienced licensed registered nurse with a personal maturity that we consider a good foundation for working with people in acute care. Curiosity and the desire to develop are a driving force, and you never see yourself as fully trained. You are relationship-oriented and think it's important to create good relationships with patients, relatives, and colleagues. Your collaboration skills are good and you appreciate being part of a whole. Flexibility and the ability to adapt are prerequisites in an operation where things can change quickly. You have an easy time with problem-solving and are a natural leader. A background check through criminal record excerpts will be conducted prior to an employment decision. Selection takes place continuously during the application period. Why Choose Region Gotland?
