Ebba HVB is a treatment home for women located approximately 25 miles north of Jönköping. We work with women who have substance abuse/addiction issues, mental health challenges, and in most cases have been victims of violence and/or abuse. At Ebba HVB, we provide treatment for addiction issues and trauma. We operate under both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and are registered in the Swedish Health and Social Care Register. We are now seeking a new colleague - a substitute Nurse on a 50% position. This temporary assignment may transition to a permanent position within our organization across our various facilities. This particular temporary assignment is covering for our nurse who will be on parental leave. The assignment starts November 1, 2026 and is expected to run until January 3, 2027. However, as mentioned, it may transition to a permanent position within our other operations, possibly with a higher percentage of employment. This temporary assignment is primarily based at Ebba HVB as described above. To work with us, you must have relevant education as a Licensed Nurse. It is advantageous if you have experience working in psychiatry and at outpatient clinics. In addition to the above, it is beneficial to have experience with similar work, as this role requires knowledge, experience, and personal suitability. Your responsibilities will include: - Order and retrieve medications - Distribute medications - Train staff - Provide delegation to staff - Administer injections - Maintain contact with LARO (medication-assisted treatment) clinics - Monitor prescriptions and ensure they are current - Collaborate with our physician - Ensure that prescriptions written by our physician are updated and available for retrieval - Manage the current medication inventory with proper organization - Enter prescriptions in our documentation system where delegated staff then sign off - Enter updated prescriptions - Participate in rounds with the physician and treatment coordinator and prepare for rounds - Write referrals for lab tests - Prescribe blood pressure and pulse monitoring for clients when necessary - Speak with clients regarding medication questions and physical and psychological matters; some evening shifts may occur - Contact diabetes clinics when relevant - Assist other units during staff absences and potentially during vacation coverage The above-mentioned responsibilities comprise the main part of the work. Other tasks may also occur. We need someone with genuine commitment and interest in working with this target group. We are looking for a positive person who is not afraid to take initiative where needed. You should have great patience, be able to maintain firm boundaries, be confident and secure. You could be a retired nurse or someone who simply prefers not to work full-time. Applicants selected for interview must be able to provide a current certificate from the police showing no remarks in the suspicion and crime register, as well as your nursing license.
