We warmly welcome your application! The Nurse Role As a nurse, you'll work alongside an ambulance medic or another nurse with basic or specialist training. Together, you'll assess and treat patients at home, at accident scenes, and during transport to healthcare facilities. You'll also perform patient transfers between different healthcare facilities, both within and outside the county. As an employee in ambulance services, you'll have access to advanced equipment such as defibrillators, mechanical chest compression devices, and a variety of medications. In your daily work, you'll encounter all types of patients, and your role is to provide good and safe care based on patient needs. Your work is therefore varied and no two days are the same. The position we're offering is a full-time temporary contract for 6 months with the possibility of extension. Preferred start date is October 26 or by agreement. Your Future Workplace Ambulance services have developed significantly in recent years and now offer increasingly advanced care before the ambulance arrives at the hospital. The ambulance services' vision is to provide the best possible ambulance care and be an attractive workplace with the patient at the center. In Region Jönköping County, there are 24 ambulances, including one basic care ambulance, distributed across twelve stations in the county. Ambulance services are divided into three ambulance zones, one of which is the northern zone with stations in Jönköping and Habo. We view experience in acute care positively. If you also have any of the following specialist qualifications, that's a merit: • Ambulance Services • Acute Care • Anesthesia • Intensive Care You're an experienced driver and have at least a category B driver's license. In our operations, it's important that you're in good physical condition and have good physical work capacity, both for your sake and the patient's. Working in ambulance services requires personal maturity and good judgment, and we place great emphasis on personal suitability. As a person, you're confident and stable with a good ability to separate the personal from the professional. It's important that you're comfortable making your own decisions at work. The job also involves close teamwork, so you need to have a good ability to cooperate with others and communicate clearly. Since you'll be meeting patients and relatives daily, it's also very important that you have an empathetic approach and good people skills.
