Ambulance Services assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of an accident, and during transport to the hospital, and also manage transports where care during transport is necessary. Ambulance Services Västerbotten carries out approximately 33,000 assignments in the region. In Åsele, our emergency vehicle operates emergency care in cooperation with Åsele Municipality.

All our new colleagues in Ambulance Services Västerbotten undergo our introductory training so you gain good insight, understanding, and confidence in your role in ambulance care. Areas covered in the introductory training include, for example, From Call to Handover, Work Environment, Systematic Patient Care, Treatment Guidelines, Triage, CPR, Rakel Communication, Traffic and Vehicles, Ambulance Manager and Medical Responsible, Weather and Terrain, Pregnancy and Childbirth.

WORK TASKS
As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure.
As a nurse in the ambulance, you meet patients of all ages who have suffered acute illness or injury or who need care during transport. You assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of an accident, and during transport to a healthcare facility. The job is about making a difference for others and showing humility while maintaining calm in demanding situations.
In the ambulance, you work in a team consisting of a nurse-assistant nurse or nurse-nurse. Our nurses have medical responsibility. You and your colleague also have the ultimate responsibility to check at the beginning of each shift and during the shift that the ambulance is equipped correctly so you can perform your work tasks in a patient-safe manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is advantageous if you are specially trained in ambulance care or another specialization that we consider valuable for the service. It is also advantageous to have professional experience from emergency care.
You have a B-category driver's license and good driving experience. You are fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing.
Work in ambulance services can be physically demanding, so we require physical endurance. As part of the recruitment process, you will undergo a fitness test and driving test.
