The Emergency Department operations area at USÖ is expanding, and we are now seeking a nurse or specialist nurse in emergency care/pediatric nursing who wants to contribute to the future of emergency care with us at the Emergency Department. We offer, following structured onboarding, stimulating work in emergency care with regular internal training. The operations are characterized by great commitment, high pace, and close collaboration between different professional categories. Operations run around the clock and consist of reception for adults and children. The emergency department receives patients with care needs in trauma, medicine, surgery, pediatrics, orthopedics, infection, otolaryngology, neurology, and urology. The emergency care operations area is one of University Hospital Örebro's largest, with 180 employees and approximately 72,500 patient visits per year with varied patient flow including pediatrics. There is an active group of specialist nurses in emergency care and a plan for continued training of more. Together with you, we want to create the best possible emergency care. Duties Typical tasks in an emergency department such as assessing, prioritizing, and sorting patients, nursing and patient care, medication management, and contact with relatives, etc. The team consists of physicians, nurses, and nursing assistants/care assistants. We want to ensure you have a good start in your work with us, and therefore onboarding is conducted in stages—that is, you will be trained in adult emergency care and pediatric emergency care in two separate blocks. After onboarding and on-the-job training, the emergency department's internal career ladder/competency development program begins. The competency ladder is divided into several levels so you can develop in your work as a nurse. Competency development and continuing education occur continuously. A training group, consisting of training responsible nurses and quality responsible nursing assistant, works with planning and development of internal training. Qualifications We are seeking you, a registered nurse with experience in emergency care or at least one year of experience in inpatient care. Specialist training in emergency care/pediatric nursing is a merit. To thrive with us, you need to be comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
