About the Operation The Palliative Care Unit is part of the Palliative Clinic and provides specialized palliative care at Falun Hospital. We have 8 care beds and receive patients from throughout Dalarna. Teamwork is central, and all professions contribute to excellent care. For us, it is important to care for patients, loved ones, and each other with professionalism, compassion, and respect. With a holistic view of the individual, our goal is to create security and good quality of life for patients and their loved ones through high availability, participation, and continuity. Job Responsibilities We are seeking a nurse for our Palliative Care Unit. Care is focused on patients with severe symptoms who are in the end-of-life stage. Our ambition is to make the disease process as positive as possible for the patient and their loved ones. We care for patients with varying diagnoses and advanced symptoms. Standard nursing duties involving a combination of medical technology and quality care. Some of our patients have, for example, central lines, drainage, and receive medication via pump. We are looking for someone who is curious and open to challenges. Meeting seriously ill patients and their loved ones requires personal maturity and confidence in your professional role. Qualifications You are a licensed nurse with an interest in palliative care. It is important that you are empathetic and have good communication with patients, loved ones, and colleagues. We place great value on your personal qualities and your understanding of different social and cultural contexts. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
