Our Operations The PET Center within the Department of Imaging and Functional Medicine at Akademiska Hospital conducts high-technology diagnostics using positron emission tomography (PET), which involves injecting radioactively labeled tracers into patients and studying their distribution in the body using a PET camera. The PET Center has extensive production of radioactively labeled tracers for both clinical routine and clinical studies, and also serves as an important research infrastructure where new tracers are developed and evaluated. Your Assignment Your assignment as a hospital chemist will be to: • Participate in GMP production and quality control of tracers for PET examinations for both clinical routine and research. • Environmental monitoring of our facilities; particle measurement, passive and active air sampling • Inventory and procurement of consumables and chemicals • Service and maintenance of facilities and equipment for radiopharmaceutical production • Updating of GMP documentation • Qualification and validation of methods and equipment Your Qualifications Academic degree in chemistry or equivalent. Experience with practical work in clean rooms or radiochemistry is a merit. Your Competencies The work is very equipment-intensive and we work according to GMP with high quality requirements. Therefore, we are looking for someone with good problem-solving skills and an open mind for new technology and new ways of working. You are also flexible and adapt easily to new situations. You have a stable and calm demeanor, even in stressful environments. Collaboration is important as certain work during inconvenient hours means you depend on each other. You must be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. We Offer Permanent full-time employment with start date by agreement. Working hours will be Monday to Friday. A total of three positions are advertised, with two positions having part of their working time scheduled at night starting at 2:00 AM with a frequency of 1-2 days per week. The remaining working time is scheduled during daytime. The third position is scheduled during daytime but may in some cases involve an early start, around 6:00 AM.
