AUTOMATIC CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Information Technology Department / Rīgas ūdens
We are looking for an engineer who will ensure the safe, stable, and efficient operation of automatic control systems (ACS) for water utility technological processes, as well as their development and modernization.
Your responsibilities will include:
monitoring and improving ACS, SCADA, PLC, and industrial network operations
analyzing system performance, identifying malfunctions, and coordinating their resolution
maintaining ACS technical documentation, topologies, and technological diagrams
planning and coordinating ACS modernization, integration, and development projects
evaluating new technologies and preparing proposals for improving automation, resource utilization, and energy efficiency
developing technical specifications, participating in solution evaluation, testing, and implementation
monitoring the security and functionality of ACS technical solutions, including critical infrastructure information resources
consulting with and training colleagues on ACS operation and maintenance
collaborating with the IT team, company departments, technology providers, and external partners
We expect that you have:
higher education in engineering sciences, automation, computer science, IT, or a related field
at least 3 years of professional experience in automation, ACS, SCADA/PLC, or industrial control systems
practical knowledge of PLC and SCADA system programming and configuration
understanding of industrial networks, control system integration, and data transmission
experience in analyzing system malfunctions and developing technical solutions
ability to analyze technical information and data, and independently find solutions
good communication and collaboration skills, responsible and results-oriented approach to work
state language proficiency at C1 level and English language knowledge at least B2 level
We will consider the following as advantages:
experience in water utilities, energy, manufacturing, or other critical infrastructure sectors
experience with Siemens, Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley, or other manufacturers' ACS solutions
knowledge of OT/IT integration and industrial cybersecurity
experience in implementing automation or digitalization projects
experience in preparing technical specifications and investment projects
