Limbažu novada Galvenā bibliotēka invites you to join our team as a Systems Librarian (Library Information System ALISE Administrator). If you are interested in library information systems, digital solutions, and data management, we invite you to become part of our team and contribute to the development of modern library services throughout Limbažu novads. Work location: Limbažu novada Galvenā bibliotėka, Limbaži Work hours: Full-time Employment contract: Indefinite term Key Responsibilities Administer and develop the Library Information System (BIS ALISE) in Limbažu novads libraries, ensuring its continuous and quality operation; Maintain and improve the electronic union catalog of Limbažu novads libraries, ensuring bibliographic data quality, accessibility, and compliance with industry standards; Manage system configuration, user permissions, data security, implement system updates, and coordinate resolution of technical issues; Organize and coordinate electronic inventory of libraries, prepare reports and analysis, and participate in library collection inventory; Monitor electronic resources and the "Novadu resursi" database, ensure electronic records of the library collection, and coordinate quality control of Limbažu novads library collections; Organize maintenance of the library repository and coordinate implementation of national-scale library projects in the region; Provide consultations, organize training and methodological support to Limbažu novads library staff on BIS ALISE and library work processes; Prepare planning documents, work plans, reports, budgets, and other necessary documents as required for the position; Collaborate with regional libraries, system providers, and partner organizations, promoting development of library services and digital solutions; When necessary, provide user services at the library, including work on Saturdays according to an approved work schedule; Process payments using electronic cash registers and POS terminals; Regularly improve professional knowledge and competencies by participating in professional development and continuing education activities. Requirements for Candidates Desired: Higher education in library science, information management, information technology, or related field; Desired: Work experience in the library sector, working with library information systems, and bibliographic data management; Desired: Experience working with BIS ALISE; Understanding of library work processes, collection organization, bibliographic data processing, and electronic resource management; Good digital skills, excellent proficiency with MS Office applications; Ability to analyze information, plan and organize work, make independent decisions, and solve problem situations; High sense of responsibility, precision, initiative, and orientation toward quality results; Good communication, collaboration, and consulting skills, ability to conduct training and provide methodological support to colleagues; Excellent knowledge of the state language in accordance with legal requirements; knowledge of foreign languages may be considered an advantage.
