Limbaži District Main Library invites you to join our team as a Systems Librarian (Library Information System ALISE Administrator). If you are interested in library information systems, digital solutions, and data management, we invite you to become part of our team and contribute to the development of modern library services throughout Limbaži District. Work Location: Limbaži District Main Library, Limbaži Work Hours: Full-time Employment Contract: Permanent Key Responsibilities administer and develop the Library Information System (BIS ALISE) in Limbaži District libraries, ensuring its continuous and quality operation; maintain and improve the electronic union catalog of Limbaži District libraries, ensuring the quality, accessibility, and compliance of bibliographic data with industry standards; manage system configuration, user permissions, data security, implement system updates, and coordinate the resolution of technical issues; organize and coordinate electronic inventory for libraries, prepare reports and analyses, and participate in library collection inventory; monitor electronic resources and the "Regional Resources" database, ensure electronic inventory of the library collection, and coordinate quality control of Limbaži District library collections; organize and maintain the library repository and coordinate the implementation of national-level library projects in the district; provide consultations, organize training and methodological support for Limbaži District library staff on BIS ALISE and library work processes; prepare planning documents, work plans, reports, analyses, budget requests, and other necessary documents required for the position; cooperate with regional libraries, system administrators, and partner organizations, promoting the development of library services and digital solutions; when necessary, provide library user services, including working on Saturdays according to an approved work schedule; process payments using electronic cash registers and POS terminals; regularly improve professional knowledge and competencies by participating in professional development and continuing education activities. Requirements for Candidates preferred higher education in library science, information management, information technology, or a related field; preferred work experience in the library sector, working with library information systems, and bibliographic data management; preferred experience working with BIS ALISE; understanding of library work processes, collection organization, bibliographic data processing, and electronic resource management; strong digital skills and excellent proficiency with MS Office applications; ability to analyze information, plan and organize work, make independent decisions, and resolve problem situations; high sense of responsibility, accuracy, initiative, and orientation toward quality results; excellent communication, collaboration, and consultation skills, with the ability to conduct training and provide methodological support to colleagues; excellent knowledge of the state language in accordance with regulatory requirements; knowledge of foreign languages may be considered an advantage.
