The State Commission of Health and Work Capacity Expert Doctors announces a competition for a vacant position of Head Systems Analyst of the Information System (for a fixed term until July 31, 2028; workplace – Ventspils iela 53, Riga, LV-1002) Position Objective: To organize the development of the information systems of the State Commission of Health and Work Capacity Expert Doctors (hereinafter – SCHWECD). Main Responsibilities: ensure systems analysis of the operational processes of SCHWECD information systems (hereinafter – IS); analyze and evaluate IS software development solution proposals; ensure analysis of documentation and deliverables prepared by the IS software developer, participate in IS deliverable testing, identify deficiencies, and prepare problem reports; develop IS design and software requirement specifications in response to changes in data specifications, processes, or regulatory acts; participate in the development of IS user manuals and other user documentation and evaluate user documentation prepared by consultants; prepare change requests for software modifications in case of regulatory changes and business process execution improvements; provide recommendations for improving IS usability and performance. Requirements for Candidates: academic higher education or second-level professional higher education in information technologies with at least two years of experience in information system maintenance; desired work experience performing systems analyst duties for at least two years; desired experience in information systems (hereinafter – IS) documentation development; desired work experience in planning IS integration with external information systems and performing data migration; desired work experience in overseeing IS development or improvement; knowledge of IS development lifecycle, documentation and software development, testing and implementation management; ability to work with PostgreSQL and other relational (SQL) databases, as well as desired experience in writing SQL queries and simple scripts; ability to work with SAP BusinessObjects BI Suite Analytics Edition business intelligence tool components.
