Personal care assistant wanted for me, Thomas, in Katrineholm We are now looking for a safe, warm and dedicated personal care assistant for Thomas, who lives centrally in Katrineholm. Thomas is 61 years old and lives with hemiparesis and aphasia following illness. He needs help and support in all daily activities, both at home and in activities outside the home. The care assistance is round-the-clock with sleeping nights and work also includes weekends. Thomas enjoys music, sports and doing things together with his family. This could mean joining activities, going on short outings or just making everyday life more enjoyable and easier together. We are therefore looking for someone who is social, attentive and who enjoys being a support in someone else's daily life. Preferably someone who shares Thomas's interests and wants, sometimes, to go to concerts (lots of heavy rock), hockey, football etc. The work includes, among other things, support with daily routines, personal care, help with meals and creating security and structure in the day. You work in Thomas's home where his wife lives and where children and grandchildren are a very important part of Thomas's life. You must be able to empathize and show consideration for the family as well. Most importantly, the personal chemistry needs to feel right. You need to be able to be both a helping hand and pleasant company, almost like a friend in everyday life. The position we are looking for is approximately 11.5 hours/week spread over a few weekdays plus Friday and Saturday nights every other weekend Friday We are looking for you who: * Are calm, considerate and responsible * Enjoy working close with people * Have patience and can create security * Like music, sports and social activities * Preferably have a driver's license as Thomas has his own adapted car * Do not smoke There are cats in the home, so you should not be allergic.
