Popis:
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also manages closed youth care. We operate youth homes and residential facilities for adults with substance abuse throughout the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. Regardless of where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create vital change. SiS Youth Home Stigby on Visingsö has capacity for 35 young people and admits non-compulsory school age boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. We are divided into one intake and needs assessment unit (MBB), four treatment units, and one discharge preparation unit in Jönköping. Job Description We are now seeking a night staff member for our open unit in Jönköping. Stigby has an integrated care pathway where young people are gradually moved toward greater personal responsibility in line with their motivation and individual abilities. Work in the open unit focuses on treatment in more open settings, where you will work with young people who have lived in institutional care for an extended period and are assessed as ready to manage housing in more open settings with greater independence. Activities take place mainly outside the unit and are based on establishing young people in pro-social environments. The goal is to equip young people to manage independent living in key areas such as housing, employment, leisure, and pro-social contacts. The work requires independence, experience, and personal maturity. As a treatment pedagogue on nights, you help young people get their lives on track by being a safe and stable role model. You are responsible for the unit's safety during nighttime. The position involves solo work in the unit and includes tasks such as supervision and documentation. The work requires considerable independence, thoroughness, and knowledge of work environment and safety. Working hours are scheduled nights, awake duty. Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, engagement, and attitude. As a new employee, you will complete SiS basic training over 10 weeks. The training combines theory with guided introduction and equips you for the treatment role within SiS operations. Qualifications To succeed in your work, you have a firmly grounded positive view of humanity. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and you share SiS' values of being a place for change. As a person, you are secure in yourself and find it easy to build relationships with young people as well as with other staff members. You have strong communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You work well with others and can handle conflicts constructively. You should also have: - Degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work, or education from university such as social worker, social pedagogue, or other education that we consider equivalent - Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, for example from institutional placements, psychiatry, HVB services, or from care and welfare - Category B driver's license - Good Swedish in speech and writing - An interest in working with vulnerable young people who need support and being a good adult role model. You can share your own sense of security and stability. - Being a colleague who shares knowledge and contributes to a sense of community at SiS is another quality that makes you interesting. We place great emphasis on your personal suitability. At SiS we care about good collegial relationships. This means that as an employee you take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good cooperation.
