Popis:

The Swedish Imprisonment and Care Board (Statens institutionsstyrelse, SiS) is a government authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth residential homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse throughout the country. At SiS, your working life will be an exciting challenge. Regardless of where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create vital change. SiS Youth Residential Home Stigby on Visingsö has capacity for 35 youth and accepts non-compulsory school boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. We are divided into an MBB unit (intake and needs assessment), four treatment units, and a discharge preparation unit in Jönköping. Job Description Do you want to make a vital difference for vulnerable people? Then working as a treatment coordinator at SiS is meaningful work. We are now seeking a treatment coordinator for our intake and needs assessment unit (MBB). The basis for intake and needs assessment is, among other things, the National Board of Health and Welfare's latest knowledge support regarding assessments and interventions for children and young people who commit crimes or exhibit other norm-breaking behavior. Our mission is to stabilize the youth's situation and well-being and to interrupt criminality, substance abuse, and other socially destructive behavior. Additionally, we should identify the youth's individual needs as early as possible in order to effectively match interventions with recommendations and plan a care pathway together with social services, the youth, guardians, and family. Therefore, placements begin with a systematic risk and needs assessment, screening of physical and mental health, and assessment of needs related to schooling. The goal is for a multiprofessional team to provide evidence-based recommendations after approximately eight weeks. You will work in a team of committed colleagues, and with your collective expertise, you will have the opportunity to achieve good results. As a treatment coordinator, you will plan, implement, and follow up on program activities. You will conduct treatment sessions and have special responsibility for documentation and the forms and instruments used in treatment. You will collaborate with various functions regarding mapping, establishing, and following up on treatment plans. The role of treatment coordinator also includes particular responsibility for mentoring new employees and interns. An important shared task for all employees is to contribute to creating a safe environment and ensuring that security at the institution is maintained according to procedures. The work is often demanding but also stimulating, fulfilling, and varied. Work hours are according to schedule: day, evening, and weekends. As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training over 10 weeks. The training alternates theory with guided introduction, and it prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our interactions, our commitment, and our approach. Qualifications Your personal suitability is key to vital change. Therefore, you need a strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a firmly grounded positive view of people, are empathetic, and can build good relationships. You have strong communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have a strong ability to collaborate with others and willingly share your knowledge with colleagues. In your role as treatment coordinator, you will have independent responsibility for several interventions in the treatment plan and responsibility in the unit that requires experience and the ability to coordinate that work. You need to be good at planning and structuring your work, able to work independently, and take your own initiative. Since treatment work is documented and discussed with several different actors, high demands are placed on good Swedish in both spoken and written form. You should also have: Relevant higher education, such as social worker, social pedagogue, or other care/behavioral science education, or alternatively post-secondary education such as treatment pedagogue, with solid experience in program activities. Experience conducting motivation and treatment work individually and/or in groups. Good Swedish in spoken and written form. Class B driver's license At SiS, we foster good collegial relations. This means that as an employee, you take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration.
