The Swedish Prison and Probation Service, SiS, is a government agency responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial issues and adults with substance abuse disorders. Regardless of where you work in our organization or what position you hold, you help create vital change. SiS Youth Home Hässleholm is a secure institution with four treatment units, two intake and needs assessment (MBB) units, and one open TFCO unit. At Karlsvik in Höör, we have an open discharge preparation unit. This unit is part of our operations where treatment activities consist primarily of skills training aimed at preparing youth for a functioning life after their time at SiS, both practically and socially. We primarily receive school-age boys but also girls with ongoing criminal involvement and in some cases substance abuse issues. SiS Youth Home Hässleholm is now seeking additional hourly substitutes to support our operations during vacancies. Our youth home has 43 places for security-classified boys aged approximately 12-16 distributed across 6 units. The youth at SiS have backgrounds marked by unpredictability and stress in various forms, which means your focus is on professionally conducting treatment work, care and motivation work, and providing daily support. You become part of the youth's schooling, cooking and cleaning routines, evening activities and more, as they live here around the clock. All activities are carried out safely and carefully risk-assessed before implementation, which you are responsible for helping ensure. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our youth/clients toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team with treatment pedagogues/treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the youth living with us receive the security, care and treatment they need. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal certainty, planning and monitoring of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our procedures and you help work toward a continuously improving SiS. Working hours follow a day, evening and weekend schedule. As a new employee, you participate in a mandatory introduction week before starting work on the unit. The training combines theory with guided introduction that equips you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Qualifications Your personal suitability is the key to vital change. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are confident in yourself and find it easy to build relationships with youth as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You work well with others and can handle conflicts constructively. Based on the new Social Services Act, the basic requirements for our staff have been raised, and all those employed as treatment personnel need to have: You must also have: At least 2 years of post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education must be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science or other relevant subject area. The education must be CSN eligible. Passing grades in core subjects from upper secondary school. Experience working with our target group (e.g. substance abuse care, youth care, young women, etc.) Category B driver's license Good Swedish in speech and writing We require the opportunity to see grades and/or diplomas before employment and request that you attach these to your application. *Exceptions to the requirement of at least two years of post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special grounds according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Regulation (2025:468). Employment: This position is an hourly employment where we require that you can work at least three shifts per month. You will be organizationally assigned to one of our units but in your role you will fill vacancies across all six of our units. Employees who start as hourly employees with us have excellent opportunities to obtain temporary positions or become candidates for permanent positions through continued excellent performance.
