The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is a government agency responsible for individualized compulsory care for youth and adults with substance abuse issues. We operate youth residential homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Residential Home Fagared serves non-school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminal behavior, and substance abuse. We have units in Lindome, Öxnevalla, and Gothenburg. Job Description Seize the opportunity to try an interesting position as a temporary Treatment Assistant at SiS Youth Residential Home Fagared! The goal of the temporary Treatment Assistant role at Fagared is to motivate our youth toward new and less risky ways of living. As a Treatment Assistant, you help ensure that the unit's routines function properly. You play a crucial role in providing stability and security for our youth and form the foundation of daily life, including schooling, cleaning, meal preparation, and more. You help maintain security at the institution according to our procedures. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good therapeutic relationships and ensure our youth receive the safety and security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. Our vision is to be a place for change, which permeates our approach, commitment, and perspective. Working hours are scheduled: day, evening, and weekends, or night shifts on weekdays and weekends. As a temporary employee at SiS, you will undergo customized introductory training to prepare you for your assignment. Qualifications Your personal suitability is key to vital change. Therefore, you need a strong ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, strong empathetic ability, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and willingly share your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: - Completed upper secondary education - At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant field.* - Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., within psychiatry, HVB services, or health and care. - Category B driver's license - Fluent Swedish, spoken and written *Exceptions to the requirement for at least two years of post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special grounds according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).
