SiS LVM-Home Hessleby, located in a beautiful forest setting just outside Mariannelund, receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We have special expertise in receiving clients with mental health issues or challenging behavior. We are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.
Job Description
Do you want to help create the vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people/clients toward new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to the routines of the unit functioning as they should. You play a major role in stability and security for our clients, and are responsible for the basics of daily life such as cleaning, cooking, and more. You work to maintain order and safety at the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help ensure that our clients receive the safety and security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Together with your team of engaged colleagues such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied.

Working hours are according to schedule for awake night shift.
As a new employee, you will complete SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with supervised introduction and equips you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is key to vital change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a well-founded positive view of people, strong empathetic ability, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
You must also have:
At least 2 years of post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or other relevant subject area.*
Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, such as in psychiatry, residential care activities, or health and care services.
Class B driving license
Good Swedish in speech and writing

Employment:
The position is a permanent part-time position at 77.90% and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
