The Role of Swimming School Manager
As Swimming School Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations, planning, and development of the club's swimming school programs. You will lead our swimming instructors and volunteer leaders and ensure that the programs maintain high quality according to Swedish Swimming Federation guidelines.
You will work both administratively and operatively at the poolside. The role gives you considerable opportunities to influence the swimming school's continued development, and you will work closely with the Club Director, Head Coach, and other program managers.
The position includes, among other things:
lead and develop swimming school operations
plan groups, schedules, and staffing
recruit, onboard, and support swimming instructors and leaders
monitor quality and program goals
contribute to budget work and financial follow-up
take responsibility for administration and communication with guardians
The work is primarily conducted at Uppsala Simarena, with some activities at Fyrishov and Gottsunda, and includes daytime, afternoons, evenings, and certain weekends based on program needs.
Employment
This is a full-time (100%) fixed-term position during the fall term of 2026, with start in August or by agreement. The employment runs through December 18, 2026 and is compensated with a monthly salary. A significant portion of work time is scheduled for afternoons, evenings, and weekends. For the right person, there are good opportunities for contract extension. Collective agreement with the Employers' Alliance, industry agreement for sports.

have experience with swimming instruction or swim training
have experience with leadership
are organized, solution-oriented, and pedagogical
have strong organizational and collaboration skills
communicate well with children, guardians, and colleagues
express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing
Experience with club activities, program development, administration, coach education, and training within the Swedish Swimming Federation is a merit. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
