About the Job
The Department Controller position is a permanent role located in the Administration Department, within the unit for Operations and Financial Governance. We are a dynamic and active unit working to develop and streamline Sida's overall governance and management. We work in teams, and you will be part of the team responsible for planning and follow-up for Sida's four support departments.
As a Department Controller, you will assist managers with advice and support in maintaining an effective control environment. The role includes coordinating the department's financial governance within Sida's annual cycle and continuously monitoring the department's financial results. You will contribute to change management and follow-up work through analyses and improvement proposals.
You will be part of the Administration Department and work at our office in Rissne.
Key Responsibilities
Financial governance and follow-up at the department level.
Ensure internal governance and controls within departments.
Provide support to department management on various financial matters.
Develop operations, processes, and tools together with the team.

Qualification Requirements
Education
Academic degree in Business Administration or another academic qualification deemed relevant by the employer.
Languages
Good level of Swedish in writing and speech
Good level of English in writing and speech
Work Experience and Knowledge
Several years of experience in controlling or similar qualified finance roles, where you have worked with budget, forecast, and analysis work.
Experience with internal governance and controls.
Good experience with data-driven analysis.
Very good skills and knowledge in Excel spreadsheet applications.
Experience facilitating processes and meetings.

Meritorious Experience
For this role, it is advantageous if you have:
Experience with public sector governance.
Leadership experience, such as team lead, project manager, or similar leadership assignments.
Experience with financial and operational governance and quality assurance in public or private operations.
Experience with financial governance and analyzing, compiling, and reporting to different stakeholder groups.
Experience working in the financial sector.
Experience with risk management work.
Good to Know
The position is a permanent employment. A probationary period applies.
Start date September 1, 2026 or by agreement.
