KOYO is a new Japanese restaurant in Gothenburg focused on sushi, Japanese flavors, and a thoughtfully designed dining experience.
As we prepare for our opening, we're building our team and looking for serving staff who want to be part of it from the beginning and help us create the service and atmosphere that KOYO stands for.
About the role
As part of our Front of House team, you're an important part of the guest experience – from the first welcome to when the guest leaves the restaurant.
Your responsibilities include table service, taking orders, presenting food and beverages, handling the register, and ensuring the restaurant maintains a high level of service throughout the evening.
We're looking for someone who is attentive and professional, while remaining personable and relaxed in your approach. At KOYO, good service isn't about being stiff or formal, but about making guests feel welcome and well cared for.
We're looking for you who
Have experience in serving and bar work
Are comfortable interacting with guests and have a natural sense of hospitality
Are attentive and able to read guests' needs
Can work in an organized manner even when the pace is fast
Pay close attention to details and presentation
Take personal responsibility and see what needs to be done
Have good knowledge of Swedish and/or English
Have a genuine interest in food, beverages, and service
Knowledge of sushi, Japanese cuisine, sake, wine, or cocktails is a plus, but the most important thing is that you have the right attitude and want to learn.
