About the Company
Swedish Innovative Woodworking Technology (S-I-T) is a company with a long tradition in Swedish wood processing, founded in 1919 with the mission of supplying machinery to the wood industry. The company is now part of the Promatech Group together with Ejderstedt & Fröding AB and Wexiö Tooling AB. Together, the group's companies account for approximately 30% of the market in Sweden.
Together with our customers, we renew the industry and create innovative and profitable solutions. Our office and machinery showroom are located in Tenhult outside Jönköping, but many tasks are performed remotely. S-I-T is part of a partnership with SCM, a world-leading Italian supplier of woodworking machinery.
Responsibilities
In your role as a service technician focused on woodworking, you will work both in-house and at customer locations where you are responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining primarily SCM machinery such as CNC, edge banders, panel saws, and automation systems. You will also be responsible for the machine software to both troubleshoot technical problems and adjust settings. You work hands-on in production, monitor the process, and ensure that products meet quality standards. You will also conduct training sessions for customers on machine operation and serve as technical support to assist customers with machinery-related questions.
Our customers are located throughout Sweden, which means some longer travels and overnight stays per month for on-site work. S-I-T is in constant development and works deliberately and long-term with you to develop your competence, which means you will receive training directly from our supplier SCM.
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
• Experience in woodworking.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics for troubleshooting and wiring.
• Advantageous if you have an understanding of programming.
• Experience as a service technician for machinery in woodworking or other material is advantageous.
• Practical experience from a production environment focused on woodworking.
• Strong advantage to have experience with SCM machinery.
• You speak, read, and write fluently in Swedish and English.
• Valid driver's license (B category).

Since you will have many customer contact points, we see that you have excellent communication skills and enjoy providing customers with high-quality service. Furthermore, you are an organized and thorough person with the ability to work independently and structure your work both long-term and short-term. At the same time, you must be flexible and unpretentious and able to handle changes in service assignments, different work environments, and tasks.
