About the Workplace The operational area of Mariestad includes the open correctional facility Rödjan, the closed correctional facility Johannesberg, and Mariestad Detention Center. Mariestad currently has approximately 400 employees distributed across various professional categories and skill sets. With new construction projects, particularly in the Rödjan area, we are seeking staff to operate both Sweden's largest open correctional facility and an upcoming new closed facility. Job Description As a service technician, you will work in our service department with a focus on logistics. You are responsible for daily distribution from Correctional Facility Rödjan's kitchen, central warehouse, and production. Distribution and collection of mail, laundry, and other consumable goods are included in your duties. You play an important role in creating and maintaining good relationships with the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's customers and ensure that deliveries from the facility's production are carried out efficiently and according to plan. The role also includes supporting facility-related tasks as needed, such as basic technical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment servicing. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is practical and organized, and who is not afraid to take initiative and implement things efficiently. You have good teamwork abilities, are solution-oriented, communicate well, and have the ability to see the bigger picture. You function well both in a group and independently, and you enjoy physical work.
