Responsibilities As a service technician / field service technician, you will work with servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and construction machinery with both combustion engines and electric drive systems. A significant part of the work involves diagnosing and fixing faults in drivetrains, engine control systems, battery systems, and charging solutions, using both your technical experience and digital diagnostic tools. You will perform preventive maintenance to ensure machine reliability and performance, while handling both scheduled service assignments and more urgent interventions. Work is planned and structured in close collaboration with the service coordinator, and you maintain ongoing contact with customers, colleagues, and internal departments. Through your professional approach and technical expertise, you contribute to high customer satisfaction and ensure that each assignment is completed with quality and precision. In this position, you will primarily work on-site at customer locations in Skellefteå and surrounding areas, including Skellefteå Harbor. In this role, you will, among other things: Perform service, troubleshooting, and repair of trucks and construction machinery Work with combustion engines and electric drive systems Diagnose and resolve faults in drivetrains, engine control systems, battery systems, and charging solutions Perform preventive maintenance for increased reliability and performance Handle both scheduled and urgent service assignments Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities Experience with motor-driven equipment for vehicles or industrial machinery Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and service Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Category B driver's license We also consider it a merit if you have: Experience in heavy mechanics, for example from trucks, buses, construction machinery, or mining Experience with forklifts or terminal equipment Experience with electrical and control systems To thrive and succeed in this role, you have a genuine technical interest and enjoy working with large and technologically advanced machinery.
