Job description Are you a practical problem solver with a strong technical interest and experience in mechanical maintenance? Our client Paxxo in Malmö is looking for a service technician. You will have a key role where you are responsible for ongoing service, troubleshooting, and repairs of production machinery in a rotating 3-shift schedule. We are looking for someone with a good understanding of mechanics, basic electrical knowledge, and who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. As a person, you are a calm and methodical problem solver who maintains focus even under pressure. You take great personal responsibility for your routines, but also have excellent collaboration skills and a curiosity to develop yourself further technically. You should be comfortable working independently, taking responsibility, and adhering to agreed schedules and procedures. PAXXO has a proprietary machine fleet optimized to manufacture the company's unique products. As a service technician, you will have a broad and exciting role where your main responsibility is to ensure that production runs optimally. Together with the rest of the service team, you work with everything from emergency service to scheduled maintenance on our production equipment. The position also includes ordering spare parts and other supplies. The position is based on a 3-shift schedule with rotation between a week of morning shifts, a week of afternoon shifts, and a week of night shifts. Responsibilities Perform ongoing service, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery. Replace sensors, simple components, and handle basic electrical troubleshooting. Perform mechanical repairs during downtime. Document completed work in the maintenance system (IDUS – can be learned on the job). Collaborate with operators, production, and other maintenance team members. Qualifications Driver's license (Category B). Experience as a service technician, maintenance technician, industrial mechanic, or similar. Good understanding of mechanics and strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems. Basic knowledge of electrical systems, ability to read simple electrical diagrams, replace sensors, and troubleshoot simple electrical faults. Knowledge of pneumatics. Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and simple technical documentation. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, so that instructions, drawings, and safety procedures can be understood and documented correctly. Merits Experience working with maintenance systems. Experience from manufacturing or plastic industry, packaging machinery, or process technology. Experience with Lean or continuous improvement work (5S, Kaizen, etc.). Experience with machine installations or relocation of production lines. About the company Paxxo AB
