To enable our care staff to focus more on care itself, we are now seeking someone interested in working with the various support tasks that exist in our care and residential homes. We are currently looking for you to work as a service worker at Skräddarens Care and Residential Home. The home is centrally located in Teg, approximately 1.5 km from Umeå center, with proximity to the Umeälven River and beautiful green areas. The home has 47 apartments distributed across three floors, with each floor consisting of two smaller units. Your Work Tasks You will primarily work with laundry and cleaning tasks. The work includes washing clothes for residents and staff, as well as cleaning residents' apartments, laundry room, and other common areas. The work also includes kitchen and food management, such as receiving deliveries, sorting and distributing food to the units, assisting with meal service, and handling dishwashing. Your duties also include handling and restocking items and disposable materials, mail and newspapers, as well as performing checks and cleaning of refrigerators and freezers. You will also contribute to recycling and cleaning of assistive devices. Additionally, tasks may include assisting with meals, simple care support, and accompanying residents on walks. About You We are looking for someone who is flexible and has strong teamwork skills. You work thoroughly and with quality awareness, and have a strong sense of service. To thrive in this role, you need to be able to take instructions, work in a structured manner, and independently take responsibility for your tasks. We place great importance on your personal suitability. Requirements Good knowledge of the Swedish language in order to communicate with residents, relatives, and colleagues Meritorious Education or experience as a facilities caretaker or service worker Other Information - A permanent position starting September 28, 2026, or by agreement.
